As one of the few utility companies certified to both ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, Avangrid continues to lead by example in prioritizing employee well-being and operational excellence.
The Solution
Avangrid discovered EHS Compliance Services Inc. EHSCSI conducted customized ISO 45003 training sessions tailored to Avangrid's unique organizational structure and audit findings. This training equipped Avangrid's leadership with the necessary tools to embed psychosocial risk management into their EHS culture and systems effectively.
The Results
Avangrid began with the first "I", increasing competence, ensuring its senior leaders understood psychosocial risk factors, their implications on worker health and safety, and the requirements and next steps to conform with the requirements of ISO 45003. Avangrid's proactive approach to addressing psychological health and workplace safety risks resulted in a Training Attendee Recommendation Rate of 100%, a testament to the efficacy of the training. This customized training covered four key psychosocial hazard categories, aligned with internationals standards, and further solidifying Avangrid's commitment to enhancing employee mental health and workplace safety.
